A large CPG company is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. In this Senior Financial Analyst role, this person will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, creating board decks, cash flow statements, and analyzing financial statements. What do you need for this Senior Financial Analyst role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
- 4-7 years of finance experience
- Advanced Excel
- Experience working in an inventory based environment
What will you do in this Senior Financial Analyst role?
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
- Update and roll forward financial models and projections.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis, highlighting trends and identifying key drivers.
- Analyze sales and margin performance across multiple business channels to identify opportunities and risks.
- Manage and update the 13-week cash flow forecast, incorporating actual results and projecting future cash needs.
- Track capital expenditures and ensure they are in line with approved budgets.
- Prepare detailed Capex Budget vs. Actuals reports, including variance commentary.
- Develop and maintain depreciation and amortization schedules using a waterfall methodology.
- Assist department heads with reviewing departmental P&Ls and explaining financial performance.
- Prepare quarterly and year-to-date revenue summaries for board reporting.
- Maintain and update financial trackers for licensing agreements and royalty payments.
