Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical system design, particularly in K-12 and commercial projects. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles to deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the design and development of electrical systems for K-12 and commercial projects.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure integration of electrical systems with overall project design.
- Prepare detailed electrical system designs, specifications, and drawings using Revit.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to procure materials and oversee installation processes.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- State of Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical system design for K-12 and commercial projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam software.
- Strong knowledge of power systems lighting and power system design.
- Experience with auxiliary systems, CCTV, fire alarm, and access control is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
