The Role

Our Marketing & Business Development department handles everything from content creation to PR and press opportunities, to event production for the entire firm, as well as other marketing and business development initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Design compelling visual content for social media, our website, events, proposals, presentations, advertisements, and client communications
  • Shoot and edit photos, including attorney headshots, events, social media content, promotional content, etc.
  • Shoot & edit videos, including event sizzle reels, interview footage, social media content, promotional content & advertisements
  • Write short- and long-form content, including social media posts, website content, email campaigns, and press releases
  • Help plan and coordinate firm events, including managing invite lists and RSVPs; coordinating guest & venue logistics; brainstorming themes and ideas as needed; marketing and follow-ups
  • Research opportunities and support in submissions for awards, publications, speaking engagements, advertisements/promotional opportunities, and RFPs/proposals
  • Assist with other marketing responsibilities, such as website updates, email marketing, social media, research, and recordkeeping

Skills:

  • Software Proficiencies:
  • Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, and Bridge
  • Video editing software: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or DaVinci. Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Mac OS
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Strong photography, videography, photo retouching, & video editing skills
  • Strong writing & proofreading/copy editing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including ability to follow up and engage with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside parties in a professional manner
  • Organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proactive and problem-solving approach – someone who takes initiative to develop marketing strategies and ideas, learn new skills, and troubleshoot challenges as they pop up

Bonus Skills:

  • Legal industry knowledge/experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with RFPs/RFIs, pitch decks, and firm resumes is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of audio and audio recording/editing is a plus.
  • Having a strong network of legal and/or media contacts is a plus.

Company Offers:

  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000. Salary is commensurate with experience.
