Role Description:
The Site Infrastructure Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of site and infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the construction process, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgetary constraints. The role requires a dynamic and proactive individual with a strong background in construction or CAPEX projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or chemical industries.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Review and approve construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.
• Participate in regular meetings with project team members to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issue resolution.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of contractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project objectives and budgetary constraints.
• Support commissioning and startup activities, including equipment testing, validation, and qualification.
Qualifications:
• Must have experience working for a general contractor or construction management company.
• Must have 5 years of experience in construction or CAPEX projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or chemical industries.
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
• Ideally has experience with estimating.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities (e.g., FDA, cGMP).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to be site-based in Lebanon, Indiana, for the duration of the project.
