Job Description

Requirement: 1 year of experience in Dialysis.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Great dialysis center located in Flushing, Queens is looking for a compassionate, dedicated Registered Nurse to care for patients on maintenance, in-center, hemodialysis.
Responsibilities:
Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
Administer and chart all prescribed medications
Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
Document required patient education efforts
Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
Assist in medication inventory maintenance
Lead a small patient care team
Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
Additional tasks as requested
Qualifications
Dialysis nursing experience and at least 1 year caring for patients on dialysis.
Candidate must be licensed in New York and have current BCLS certification.
Knowledge with computers and electronic charting.
Valid RN License (Required)
