Compensation: $115K – 140K (Based on experience and 20-30% bonus opportunity)

Our client is seeking a Mid-Corporate PM Associate in Commercial Banking to work in partnership with a small deal team that provides research, analysis, and underwriting to prepare recommendations to extend credit and monitor existing credit relationships. In this role, you will:

• Focus on managing a complex credit portfolio of account relationships in Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management within Commercial Banking

• Assist with financial modeling and projections, credit analysis, and industry or business risk analysis, in support of loan structuring decision making activities for Mid-Corporate sized companies

• Support senior staff in credit underwriting that accounts for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations

• Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

• General responsibilities include working with senior management, relationship managers and credit to originate, monitor, and grow Mid-Corporate relationships

• Specifically accountable for credit underwriting and origination, portfolio monitoring, renewals and annual reviews, and coordination of pricing for revenue growth and relationship profitability

• Manage and promote the maintenance of a portfolio that adheres to all applicable credit policies and compliance requirements

• Work with clients directly to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships

• Provide guidance to and assist with development of less experienced team members

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Underwriting experience including advanced commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit

• Ability to perform in depth commercial financial statement analysis

• Credit analysis skills for leveraged credits

• Experience originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions and other credit related products, for critical or complex clients

• Knowledge and understanding of risk management and complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting

• Knowledge and understanding of credit policy, loan servicing, risk management, and group underwriting requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of rates and collateral requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services

• Knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident manner

• Experience with CreditView and/or nCino

• A BS/BA degree or higher (Finance, Economics, Accounting preferred)

Job Expectations:

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
