Position: Attorney (Family/Matrimonial Law)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Type: Full Time

Salary: 140k to 200k/PA

Role Overview

The Associate Attorney will handle a high-volume caseload of divorce, custody, child support, and related family law matters. This role requires strong litigation skills, courtroom presence, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. You will draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; represent clients in hearings and trials; and work closely with clients, adversaries, and court staff in the tri-state area.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs.
• Appear in Supreme and Family Courts to represent clients.
• Manage a large caseload and develop cost-effective litigation strategies.
• Track case statuses, court calendars, and attorney appearances.
• Provide compassionate, client-focused representation in sensitive matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York Bar.
• 7–10 years of family/matrimonial law experience.
• Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a busy caseload.
• Professional, empathetic, and client-service oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
