Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Pacific Palisades and Altadena, CA. The Assistant Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Key responsibilities include managing subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, coordinating with project teams, and conducting quality control inspections. The role also involves addressing on-site challenges and fostering effective communication among all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction site supervision, project management, and scheduling
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control
• Proficiency in communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to on-site challenges
• Proficiency in construction management software like Bluebeam is a plus
• Experience with custom residential projects is highly desirable
• Live near Pacific Palisades or Malibu office.
• 2-3 years of residential construction experience (custom or luxury homes preferred)
• Solid understanding of framing, waterproofing, finishes, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with project management software and digital reporting
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily field supervision of trades and subcontractors
• Coordinate schedules, deliveries, and inspections
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Conduct quality control checks and document progress through photos and reports
• Track field implementation of RFIs, submittals, and design revisions
• Communicate proactively with subcontractors and project management regarding schedule and scope
• Verify installations against plans and specifications
• Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout
