Job Description

Located on the NW side of Indianapolis, this manufacturing company is seeking a 1st Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to supervision of the production line operations and personnel, approximately 30 associate operating assigned machine(s) and overseeing production assistants and custodial staff on the 1st shift (6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday).

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the Production Line Operations and Personnel.
  • Planning and organizing production schedules.
  • Setting up and operate machines according to the Production Work Order Requirements, On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and/or machine operation procedures.
  • Follow, monitor, and enforce all Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure all finished product samples are submitted to the lab for approval while following Lab instructions.
  • Assist with training new Production personnel.
  • Responsible for Production personnel evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma with at least 3 years as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing setting. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and be a positive influence on the floor.
  • Must have a demonstrated history of solving production issues with the ability to present data to management in production meetings.
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral form using positive interpersonal skills.
  • Multi-task various work assignments in a time efficient manner.
  • Basic computer software skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook).
  • Daily problem solving on production issues.
  • Ability to present data to management in production meetings.
  • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Willingness to work mandatory overtime when needed.

This position offers an exceptional compensation package, including base compensation in the $85k - $95k range with an additional 10% yearly bonus target, excellent health & welfare benefits, and growth potential.
